A Day in the Life of a KACTC Student: Welding Program

What does a day look like for a student in the Welding Program at Kosciusko-Attala Career Tech Center? It’s hands-on, high-energy, and focused on building skills that lead directly to successful careers.

From the moment students step into the lab, they are immersed in real-world training. Under the guidance of experienced instructor Trey Culpepper, each day brings new opportunities to practice precision, problem-solving, and teamwork—skills that are essential in today’s workforce.

KACTC welding students don’t just learn how to weld; they learn how to think critically, work efficiently, and take pride in craftsmanship. Through certifications and practical experience, they graduate prepared for high-demand careers in construction, manufacturing, and skilled trades.

Watch our “Day in the Life” video to see firsthand how KACTC student Kingston Lee is shaping the next generation of skilled professionals—one weld at a time.
