KACTC Students Volunteer at Horses for Handicapped Event

Students from the Career Exploration, Ed Prep, and Health Science programs at the Kosciusko-Attala Career and Technical Center recently volunteered at the annual Horses for Handicapped event held at the Rankin County Multipurpose Center.

Horses for Handicapped is a long-standing, all-volunteer program that serves children and adults with disabilities from across Mississippi. The event provides participants with a fun, inclusive day filled with unique and engaging experiences.

KACTC students assisted with a variety of activities, including interactive games, jumpers, wagon rides, a petting zoo, and horseback riding. Their involvement helped ensure a positive and memorable experience for all participants.

This event not only provides meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities, but also brings together communities from across the state. Through their service, KACTC students gained valuable hands-on experience in compassion, leadership, and community involvement.
